Frequently Asked Questions

  • Returning after a 10-year hiatus, Phuzz Phest is a music festival taking place April 9-11 at venues across downtown Winston-Salem, North Carolina with more than 40 acts spanning rock, folk, jazz, electronic, soul and more.

Rather than cramming attendees into a field or parking lot, Phuzz Phest utilizes Winston-Salem’s unique spaces with diverse musical performances and encourages attendees to explore the city.

Read more about the festival’s initial run from 2011-2016 via PopMatters.

  • Tickets are on sale now! Advance 3-day passes are $129 plus tax/fees. Advance single day passes for Thursday, April 9 and Friday, April 10 are for $49 plus tax/fees, and Saturday, April 11 passes are $59 plus tax/fees.

Passes will also be available for purchase the day of the show, but you’ll save money buying in advance.

  • Once you've purchased your ticket online, your name will be on the will call list at D.O.S.E. Collective, the festival ticket hub.

Wristbands MUST be picked up from D.O.S.E. before attempting to enter venues.

To pick up your wristband, please visit D.O.S.E. with a valid ID matching the name of whomever purchased the tickets.

D.O.S.E. is located at 606 Trade St NW, Winston-Salem, NC 27101

D.O.S.E. ticket hub hours will be posted soon.

  • There will be overlapping sets, but that’s part of the fun. Attendees have the opportunity to choose their own adventure, picking what bands to see each night and moving between venues as their heart desires.

  • Entry to all shows is not guaranteed, as some venues are more intimate than others, and they may reach capacity. Venue access is available on a first-come-first-serve basis. When venues are full, access is granted with a “one-in, one-out” format, as other attendees exit the venue.

For those excited to see a specific band, arriving 30-60 minutes before their set time is a good idea.

  • All sales are final, non-refundable, and non-transferable. Fun is imminent.

  • Cancellations are a bummer that we do our best to avoid, but for reasons out of our control (illness, travel problems, act of God, etc.) cancellations do occasionally happen. In the case that there is a cancellation, we’ll do our best to book a comparable act to fill the spot, and/or reschedule the original act to make-up the date within the next 6 months.

  • Each venue has their own policy, which are as follows:

Single day passes will be available for purchase at the door at the larger venues (Bailey Park, Millennium Center, The Ramkat), but attendees will save money by buying tickets online in advance. Purchasing in advance also helps the festival for planning and staffing purposes.

If you plan to buy a wristband at the door, please bring cash or have your smartphone ready.

  • Current students can receive a 20% discount on single day passes using the code phuzzuniversity at online checkout. Students must present a current valid student ID in order to pick up their wristbands at D.O.S.E. Artist Collective, the festival ticket hub.

  • All venues are located within .7 miles of one another in the heart of downtown Winston-Salem, so walking and biking are generally feasible!

The longest trek attendees could potentially have is a ~15 minute walk between The Ramkat and Fair Witness.

  • With the exception of Krankies Coffee [Upstairs] and Delurk Gallery, all venues are wheelchair accessible.

For wheelchair access at the Millennium Center, please ask a team member for assistance at the rear exterior of the building.

Entry to Krankies Coffee [Upstairs] requires climbing stairs on the building’s exterior in order to gain venue access.

Entry to Delurk Gallery requires descending several steps at the gallery’s entrance in order to gain venue access.
