MEG

MEG is a trio from Winston-Salem, NC, featuring Matt Tuttle (Codeseven) on drums, Eddie Garcia (1970s Film Stock) on guitar, and Grant Livesay (Grant Wescoat) on keys. The group was assembled by (self-appointed) executive producer Jon Foster to make what they’ve come to call “not-not jazz.”

After a year of recorded improvisations, tunes started to take shape, the delicate balance between freedom and structure teetering toward something outside of genre rigidity. 

Their music moves fluidly between grace and groove, instinct and intention, abstraction and accessibility.

MEG’s debut 9-minute single “Night Tide” captures the trio in dramatic motion, while always returning to shore.
